Classical Greece
Ancient or Classical Greece was between the years 2000 B.C & 300 B.C. Greek culture, at the time, was very creative in different forms. Greeks created their own forms of government, which include democracy. Democracy means the people are in charge, which was probably the reason it was so popular & still used today. All Greek citizens were allowed to be apart of the democracy except aliens, woman, & children.
The Ancient Greece era is very popular for all its artwork and buildings. Most of which were just used to make Athens seem more beautiful and elegant. The sculptures were made life size and out of marble. The temples were huge and so properly built some are still stand today, thanks to the a concept they used called geometry. Many people today use a similar architecture the Greeks used to build their temples.
Philosophy was beginning to develop around this time. But it wasn't very appreciated nor welcomed. Philosophers had the tendency to question everything including the Greek religion. That was something bad during this time. Socrates was the founder of western philosophy and taught Plato, another famous philosopher. Plato became a writer and he later taught Aristotle. Aristotle also became a philosopher and later in life taught Alexander The Great. Alexander at a very young age conquered Greece and more land. He ruled for a long period of time. He achieved land in three continents and that caused The Greek Empire, to be a melting pot, which was known as the Hellenistic period.
